Okay, Last weekend was Brianna's prom in Las Vegas... She called me up about a week before and told me that her dad was going out of town that weekend and wouldn't be able to be there to take pix of her date and their group. She was feeling sad and at the bottom of the priority list. She was trying to act like it wasn't bugging her, but I knew it was because she kept bring up that she is going to feel stupid on Saturday when every ones family is there taking pictures of them and their dates and how no one would be there for her... so... my family and my moms family decided to surprise her and show up! I called Brianna the night before and asked her for her boyfriends number so that I could set up everything with him...he was so great, he gave us the address and the time that they were going to take pictures. So we arrived in Vegas and waited down the street for Randall to text us and give us the ok... when he did we pulled up and surprised the heck out of her! It was the cutest thing!.. She was so happy that she started crying, it was so cute... and you KNOW i had to cry too..LOL, but don't worry I had it under control! LOL. She looked SOOOO BEAUTIFULLL!!! My little girl is aLLL grown up!!! :))) I love my sister so much! Even though we have separate lives and are 130 miles apart, we are so close....but BELIEVE me this was not an easy journey...I always thought that it was my duty to teach her, discipline her, and talk to her about the road shes taking... cause I am the oldest and I felt that it was my calling... This only separated us! I found myself acting like I was her parent rather than a sister, and a friend. We went almost a year without taking to each other, she told my mom that she couldn't talk to me cause she always felt like I was judging her. She was right.... I never meant to judge her but it just came along with trying to help her....anyways I've learned throughout the years that being angry and upset about the decisions that she makes isn't worth loosing a relationship over. Heavenly Father wants us to preach the gospel and bring others unto him but he never said that we had to force them against their will. I think by setting an example to her by loving her an accepting her for who she is, she will eventually come around when she is ready. My dad treating me the same way that I treated Brianna and I wasn't going to loose her too! I love her so much and I'm so grateful to her and all that she has taught me... I love you sister!!! I'm always here for you!
Here's some of the pix....
