Yesterday we had our 1st accident that ended up in the emergency room. My mom was doing Jaidas hair and Jaida, being the sticky fingers she is, she turns on the curling iron, picks it up, and burns her hand. It was truly a family strengthening experience.When we got to the emergency, the only person Jaida wanted was Eric (my step dad)! It was the cutest thing ever not me, not my mom...just Grandpa! Then my mom came running in crying and apologizing, saying it was all her fault. I was sooo calm up to this point because I can't stand to see my parents cry, especially over something that was a total accident. At that moment, even with Jaida screaming her head off, all I wanted to do was take away the pain from my mom, i think she was hurting more than Jaida was. I took Jaida from Eric, while the lady finished up taking Jaidas Vitals and insurance information, and when I walked out of the room, I seen my step dad Eric in the room across from us crying and praying to our Heavenly Father. It was one of the most beautiful things that I've ever seen in my family.
This was the most humbling experience that I've had in a while. To see the love that my parents have for Jaida, to see them in complete helplessness, and to see them reaching out to God for help. It was amazing and so inspirational. I just want to tell My mom and Eric how much I love them! You guys are the most caring people that I've ever met in my life, and I'm so blessed to have you as my parents. I love you!!!
Jaida is doing JUST FINE! As you can see above... they gave her a morphine shot in the emergency room, and she hasn't cried since. We take her in today to change her dressing and to take a closer look at how it is healing. Jaida loves her little mitten and thinks it's a boxing glove to hit me and Kel with. We joke around that she'll proabably be easier around the house with one hand!! :)) We love you Jaida!

Thanks Eric!!! You guys have been more then helpful!! We took her dressing off a couple hours ago, cause she wet it in the bath, and it looks better than it did at the doc's office! So I'm not at all worried! Love you!
OMG crying here!! Accidents happen all the time. That is so sweet of your parents to do that. I'm sure they felt bad, but later in life you and Jaida will be able to look at this as an experience you'll never forget, maybe even laugh about it. Your mom is super duper sweet, hope she doesn't get too down on herself. Love you Jaida you lil trooper you! :)
Awww poor Jaida and poor Kym. That is so sad. I was almost crying for your parents, cause I can sooo relate. I'm glad Jaida is better. I just hope your mom doesn't take it too hard, because it was an accident. Love you all!
Thanks for the sweet comments Marcia and Anna! I really have never felt sooo bad for being the one that caused her so much pain! I have learned a lot from this experience! Thanks Tala and Kel for being so understanding. I love you guys so much! I am so sorry baby Jaida...grandma loves you more than words can say♥♥
